Measure the whole item
Include handles, protruding parts and the crate or protective packaging in the measurements. Give the weight of the heaviest piece as well as the total where the item separates into parts.
Identify glass, fragile panels, exposed moving parts or a need to keep the item upright. A vehicle with enough space may still need additional equipment or people to handle the load safely.
Agree the handover point
Tell us if the item is in a room, on an upper floor or already beside a loading bay. Freight transport does not automatically include dismantling, installation or room-of-choice delivery.
