Use the main collection and final delivery fields, then list additional stops in route notes. Include full postcodes, what is collected or delivered and any fixed order.
If the load changes along the route, explain which units travel between which points. This affects space, weight and the loading sequence.
Plan multi-stop freight enquiries around your Birmingham access
For Birmingham freight, give the receiving depot or business unit supplied by your consignee, its goods entrance and any appointment reference. Confirm vehicle dimensions, handling equipment and access windows separately. Check the proposed route and vehicle against clean-air-zone requirements; an urban destination does not by itself identify the correct gate or unloading equipment.
Obtain the seller or site operator’s release instructions and the equipment needed to load safely. Declare unusual contents, fragile parts and anything that cannot be stacked before suitability is assessed.
- Confirm Birmingham building access and the proposed vehicle's clean-air-zone status as separate checks.
- For multi-stop freight enquiries, prepare: every stop and postcode; goods per stop; required stop order.
Account for time at each address
Add opening hours, site appointments and unloading arrangements for every stop. A convenient route still needs to fit the available access windows.
Ask for all stops and waiting arrangements to be included in the agreed quote. Extra addresses are not automatically included in a single collection-to-delivery price.
Your Birmingham enquiry checklist
- For multi-stop freight enquiries, have these details ready: every stop and postcode; goods per stop; required stop order.
- Give both full postcodes and identify the exact entrance and receiving point. B2 is a location reference, not the whole service area.
- Explain any unresolved permission, timing or handling question before accepting a quote.
- Check the quote’s supplier, price, inclusions and booking terms before confirming.
